1 a) i ) What is meant by melting point and freezing point of substances? ( 2 marks)
     
        ii) Suggest a method which can be used to determine the melting point of substance K.(Melting   point of substance K=120 degee Celcius) (6 marks)

 b) Melting point of naphthalene can be determined in a laboratory experiment by using water bath. Design an experiment to determine the melting point of naphthalene. (12 marks)

b) State three physical states of matter. Compare the physical states in terms of arrangements of particles, forces of attraction between the particles and freedom of movements. (12 marks)

c) What is isotopes? Give two examples of isotopes and their uses in our daily life. (6 marks)
